Soil stabilization carbide tipped button bits set tungsten carbide buttons into a high-strength steel body for drilling anchor and injection holes through compacted soils, mixed ground and rock inclusions. Threaded connections run R32 through R51 plus T76, Titan 40 and Titan 52, in bit diameters from 2-1/2 in. to 6 in., and internal waterways flush cuttings and cool the carbides on long holes.

On a stabilization string the bit leads the same thread system that carries the 10 ft anchor rods behind it, with carbide tipped cross bits as the blade-style alternative. In clay, sand and gravels where buttons stop cutting efficiently, a drag bit is the faster choice the rock drill bit buyers guide covers matching cutting structure to ground.

  • Thread systems: R32, R38, R51, T76, Titan 40 and Titan 52
  • Bit diameters from 2-1/2 in. through 6 in.
  • Tungsten carbide buttons on a high-strength steel body resist wear in tough ground
  • Internal waterways flush cuttings and cool the bit during prolonged drilling
  • Applications: soil stabilization, geotechnical, foundation, water well drilling and tunneling
  • Stocked by Crowder Supply in Denver
