Tampers & Rammers
Compact soil, gravel, and molding sand with pneumatic tampers and rammers built for trench and foundry work. Backfill tampers pack soil and gravel in utility trenches and around pipe, while bench and sand rammers ram and compact molding sand in foundry and casting work.
Trench and Backfill
Backfill tampers from Chicago Pneumatic, APT, Toku, and Texas Pneumatic run 18–38 CFM at 90 psi in butterfly and pole styles, with tamper feet to compact around pipe and in tight trenches.
Foundry and Casting
Bench and sand rammers pack molding sand in pistol-grip and straight styles for casting shops. Air tampers run off an air compressor sized to their CFM.
