Atlas Copco Backfill Tampers

Backfill tampers are purpose-built compaction tools for achieving reliable soil density in narrow trenches, around pipes, footings, and other confined areas where plate compactors can’t reach. Designed with a vertical-impact foot and high-frequency reciprocating action, tampers concentrate compactive energy into a small footprint to compact cohesive and mixed backfill in tight spaces, bedding zones, and utility trenches.
