Design:The DARDA C10S is a highcapacity handheld hydraulic splitting cylinder designed for precision demolition and splitting of rock, dimension stone and concrete.
- Operates at up to 50MPa (500bar) system pressure via a compatible hydraulic power unit.
- The tool uses a safewedge principle: a hole is drilled to the correct diameter and depth, a wedge set inserted, then hydraulic pressure drives the wedges apart from inside the hole splitting the material with minimal external disturbance.
- For the C10S N version: required drillhole diameter ~4143mm, minimum drill depth ~630mm. Its theoretical splitting force reaches ~4,948kN (504t) and effective splitting force ~2,551kN (260t) in the technical data.
- Cylinder weight around ~32kg, making it relatively portable for what it offers.
- Built with highquality aluminum and steel alloy components; the counterwedges (feathers) receive a hardened/carbide surface for wearresistance under extremely high load pulses.
- The handle incorporates a control valve that allows the operator to set the intended splitting direction ahead of activation, giving high precision in the break line.
