A Hydraulic Breaker Transport Safety Device is a critical component designed to secure a hydraulic breaker (also known as a rock breaker) during transport on machinery like excavators or on trailers. This device minimizes movement, prevents accidental damage, and ensures safety during transportation.
- Design: Mounting Bracket/Base Plate has a rigid base attached to the carrier machine (usually near the boom or arm). It provides a seating platform for the breaker. Locking Arm or Clamp is a mechanism to hold the breaker tightly against the base. It may be mechanical (lever-based) or hydraulic (using actuators). Support Cradle or Frame is shaped to match the form of the breaker and minimizes lateral and longitudinal movement. Cushioning Pads/Inserts are rubber or polymer inserts reduce vibration and prevent metal-to-metal contact. Securing Pins or Bolts fasten the device and the breaker securely.Locking pins are commonly used for quick engagement and release.
- Applications:
- Construction (excavation, roadworks)
- Mining & Quarrying
- Demolition
- Heavy equipment transport services
- Materials:Base plate and bracket are made with high-strength steel to withstand load and impact. Alloy steel is used for the locking arms and pins for high-strength and fatigue resistance. Cradle/frame is made with mild steel with rubber inserts for structural support with vibration dampening. The cushioning pad are polyurethane for shock absorption and wear resistance. The fasteners are zinc-plated or stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
- Configuration:Machine Type: EC90/EC100, RX18/RX22/RX26, RX30/RX38 and RX46/RX54
