The TEHMA SP400 is a handheld high-pressure hydraulic splitter engineered for controlled demolition of concrete and rock. It uses a wedge-based mechanism: the cylinder advances a central wedge between two counter-wedges inside a pre-drilled hole, producing large splitting force without vibration, percussions or dust.
Design:
- The splitter unit weighs about 23.5 kg and operates at up to 600 bar pressure, delivering a theoretical splitting force of 3,620 kN.
- Required drill hole diameter ~ 45-48 mm (for the SP400 model) and minimum hole depth ~440 mm.
- Splitting gap (distance the material is forced apart) is ~17 mm for the SP400.
- Constructed with premium materials: cylinder and key components made in aeronautical-grade alloy, an inner carbide layer for low friction and durability, high-quality steel wedges, ergonomic handles and reversible control cam for controlled splitting direction.
- The kit version comes paired with a hydraulic power pack (TEHMA PP600 / PP700 series) to supply the required high-pressure hydraulic circuit.
