The KAPD-23 ground rod drive cap is a specialized impact adapter or striking cap designed to be used with the KAPD-23 hydraulic post driver when driving grounding rods into soil. It acts as a protective interface between the hammering piston and the top of the rod, preventing deformation or “mushrooming” of the rod tip during driving.
- Design:Precision-machined to reduce misalignment and vibration;Often used in conjunction with a ground rod chuck or guide sleeve;Designed for quick attachment/removal in field conditions.
- Application:
- Electrical utility – driving ground rods for substations transformers, or service panels
- Telecommunications – installing grounding systems for towers and control boxes.
- Construction – temporary or permanent site grounding
- Oil & Gas – grounding tanks, pipelines or hazardous-area infrastructure
- Rail/Transit – earthing rods for signals and electrified lines
- Materials:Hardened alloy steel – withstands intense impact and minimizes wear.
- Configuration: 3/4″, 5/8″, 7/8″ or 1″
