Chipping Hammers

Chip, scale, and chisel concrete, brick, and weld slag with pneumatic chipping hammers built for controlled, high-frequency work. Chicago Pneumatic, APT, Toku, and Texas Pneumatic models run 12 to 25 lb in .580 and .680 hex, in pistol-grip and D-handle styles, and take a full set of chipping hammer chisels.

Light, Controlled Demolition

Chipping hammers draw 20–36 CFM at 90 psi, so a modest air compressor runs them. Swap in moil points, chisels, and spades to chip, scale, or dig. For heavier breaking, step up to paving breakers; for surface prep, see needle scalers and scabblers. To match a tool to the job, see choosing a concrete breaking tool.
