The Chicago Pneumatic CP 4608 is the medium-stroke tapered-shank rivet buster in CP's pneumatic demolition family, sized to reach through standard bridge-deck and tank-wall sections in a single blow. The 8 in. cylinder stroke is the most-commonly specified rivet-buster stroke length, with the CP 4608 sitting between the lighter CP 4160 (6 in.) and the longer CP 4611 (11 in.) in CP's tapered-shank rivet-buster progression.
- CPS Control Power System combines a teasing throttle, Boyer valve for extended cylinder stroke, and durometer-rubber buffer ring for cylinder and piston life.
- Wear-indicating groove on the lower sleeve signals when the buffer ring needs replacement.
- Delivers 1,080 BPM at 45 CFM consumption at 90 PSI through a 1/2 in. NPT inlet.
- D-handle (CP 4608 D): 31 lb, 23 in. overall, inside trigger for general demolition with adequate overhead clearance.
- Open grip (CP 4608 P): 30 lb, 23 in. overall, outside trigger for tight-overhead, underdeck, and finger-sleeve protection work.
- .890 in. x 1.125 in. tapered shank standardizes tooling inventory across the CP 4608 and CP 4611 stock.
- Built for full-thickness bridge-deck demolition on rebar, tank cutting, structural-steel rivet removal, and drift-pin driving on bolt removal.
- Crowder Supply stocks tapered-shank rivet-buster steels and full CPS-system service parts for inside-trigger and outside-trigger configurations.
