The Chicago Pneumatic CP 0009A is a 914 lb class handheld chipping rock drill for spot drilling, light chipping, rebar trimming and small-diameter anchor holes. A 3,420 BPM impact rate on only 20 CFM at 90 PSI makes it the detail tool utility, masonry and finish-rock crews keep on the truck, and it sits at the light end of the pneumatic rock drills Crowder Supply stocks.
Build options cover a 10.9 lb or 14 lb body, round-shank or spline-drive chuck, and muffler and rotation-release choices. The 3/4 x 3-3/4 in. chuck accepts standard chipping steels, the 3/8 in. NPT inlet runs off any contractor compressor, and an in-line oiler fed with rock drill oil protects the piston. Heavier holes call for the rest of the Chicago Pneumatic rock drill line choosing a rock drill explains how to size up.
