Other Equipment

This corner of the CP accessory line covers the hardware that quiets an air installation and holds it to the wall. The exhaust silencer for air line absorbs air motor exhaust noise and drops it by 20 to 25 dB(A) depending on the model, connecting through a hose so it retrofits to a running motor. Alongside it sit a swivelling bracket, a wall assembly kit, and the slow-retract option for the HR8113. For the motors themselves see CP vane air motors, or work back up the line through CP accessories.

Air Line Exhaust Silencers

An air motor dumps spent air straight to atmosphere, and that blast is most of what the operator hears. A silencer absorbs the sound energy before it leaves the exhaust, taking 20 to 25 dB(A) out depending on the model. It mounts easily and connects to the motor with a hose, so it goes on an installation already running. More motor hardware sits under air motor accessories.

Brackets, Wall Kits and Reel Options

The rest of the category is mounting hardware. The swivel bracket lets a mounted unit pivot to follow the work instead of dragging the operator to it, and the wall mounting kit fixes it in place. The slow retracting speed option is an HR8113 accessory that brings the return under control. Confirm fitment against the parts diagrams before ordering.

Where This Sits in the Air Line

Silencers and brackets are the last few feet of a compressed-air installation. Upstream, an FRL unit conditions the air, quick connectors rated 140 to 230 psi make the joints, and swivels, hoses and valves carry it to the tool. Overhead, a tool balancer takes the weight off the operator.

Common Questions

How much noise does an air line silencer remove? Twenty to 25 dB(A), depending on which model you fit. That is a real difference at the ear on a continuously running vane air motor, and it costs no tool performance because the silencer works on the exhaust side.

Will the silencer fit my motor? It is an accessory that connects through a hose rather than threading directly onto one specific motor, which makes it flexible across the line. Send us your motor model and we will confirm the connection before you order.
