The Chicago Pneumatic CP 0022 is a 30 lb class pneumatic sinker rock drill for pedestal-style downward drilling, where the operator’s weight feeds the bit into anchor-bolt holes, foundation pins and small blast holes. It hits 2,220 BPM while drawing only 56 CFM at 90 PSI light enough on air that a 100 CFM compressor keeps one drill working making it the light-air option among our sinker drills.
Chuck options are 3/4 x 4-1/4 and 7/8 x 4-1/4 in. hex, and the 7/8 chuck also runs a Whirlibit for fast anchor holes in concrete and masonry. Weight runs 3236 lb on a 19-7/8 in. body with a 3/4 in. NPT inlet. Find the whole family on the Chicago Pneumatic rock drill brand page, and choosing drill steel and rock drill bits walks through building the string.
