The Vanair Viper D70 is a 70 CFM at 125 PSI direct-drive, deck-mount rotary screw air compressor powered by a 25 hp Kubota D902 three-cylinder diesel engine. It is the balanced flow-and-pressure specification in Vanair’s diesel Viper range between the high-pressure 150 PSI D60 and the higher-flow 100 PSI D80 with a high-altitude option for sustained continuous duty on jobsites above 3,500 ft.
At 735 lb and 48 x 21 x 33 in., the D70 fits AboveDeck or skid mounting on Class 4-7 service trucks and mechanic bodies, running 90 lb paving breakers, 4-inch piercing tools and post drivers from its 1/2 in. NPT outlet. Onboard sensors auto-unload on startup and shut down on high temperature, over-pressure or low oil pressure.
