The BTE Mid-Western TUL2B is a telescopic pneumatic feed leg that turns the S83 jackleg drill into a supported production tool, giving the operator a thrust point against the floor or rib in underground mining, tunnel face work and quarry wall drilling. Leg lengths of 24, 36, 48, 60 and 72 in. match drilling reach across stope, heading and bolt-pattern work.
The manually extended telescopic design keeps the leg lighter and simpler than power-retract alternatives the 24 in. leg weighs 37 lb and the feed cylinder runs on the same compressed air that feeds the drill.
