A Darda hydraulic power pack is a selfcontained hydraulic power unit designed to deliver highpressure hydraulic fluid to operate hydraulic tools (for example, their rock and concrete splitters) in demolition, construction or industrial applications. These units provide the fluid power (flow+pressure) that tools need, while being portable (or semimobile) and engineered for tough jobsite environments.

Design:

  • Multi drive systems available: electric (EP2, EP3), petrol/gas engine (BP2), diesel (D4), air motor (AP2).
  • Twostage pump design in many models: lowpressure stage + highpressure stage, giving faster tool actuation/shorter cycle times.
  • Portable frame with wheels and handle (in many units) so it can be moved on site.
  • Manifold with multiple toolconnections: some units allow up to 3 devices to be connected simultaneously.
  • High operating pressure: many units are rated up to ~500bar (50MPa) for the highpressure stage.
  • Oil tank/reservoir with oillevel indicator, temperature display, return line filter etc.
  • Robust steel frame, quick couplings, operator safety features like overpressure protection, startup protection etc.

Applications: The DARDA hydraulic power pack units are suitable for the following range of uses:

  • Demolition and concrete/rock splitting operations: DARDAs power units are used to supply their hydraulic rock/concrete splitters and combishears, which operate in demolition, quarrying and civilconstruction.
  • Construction site use: The units can be in indoor or outdoor environments, powering handheld or mobile hydraulic demolition tools where portability and high pressure are required. The electric or air versions are particularly useful indoors or in confined spaces (no exhaust).
  • Multitool setups: Because some units allow connection of multiple tools, they support workflows where more than one hydraulic tool is needed from one power source (e.g., several splitters or a splitter + shear).
  • Site mobility: Portable units are used by demolition contractors, rental companies, and specialist applications where moving the power pack around the job site, buildings or narrow areas is required.
  • Environments with emission or noise constraints: For indoor demolition, the electric or airdriven DARDA units are beneficial because they eliminate or reduce exhaust fumes and allow safer operation in enclosed spaces.

In short, the key valueproposition is: a highpressure hydraulic engine that you can deploy where you need power for hydraulic tools rather than relying on fixed hydraulics or largescale systems.

Materials:DARDA units are constructed to withstand rugged usage and harsh environments. Some material/ construction details:

  • Frame & housing: Durable steel (often heavyduty welded steel frame) to protect the internal assemblies and allow movement across jobsite terrain. Example: Robust steel frame with wheels and extendable handle in BP2/EP2 types.
  • Pump & hydraulic circuits: Highpressure pump (often a piston type for high pressures) combined with lowpressure pump for twostage operation. Internal blocks/manifolds for fluid flow. These internal components are made of steel alloy, precision machined, with high wear resistance.
  • Hydraulic reservoir / oil tank: Usually steel tank, with integrated filters (intake, return), oillevel indicator, and in some cases temperature display.
  • Hoses & couplings: Special highpressure hydraulic hoses rated for e.g. 500bar or more, quick couplings, CR/steel connectors, protective sleeves for jobsite abrasion. The general product line states highquality hydraulic hose sets designed for tough operating conditions.
  • Controls & safety features: Pressure gauges, relief valves, manifold blocks, safety startup locks, overpressure protection. Materials: valves/blocks made of hardened steel or cast iron, gauge housings of stainless or corrosionresistant metal.

Configurations:Diesel, Diesel with Electric Start, Electric, Gas and Pneumatic options
