The Darda C12 is a handheld hydraulic splitting cylinder from Darda’s C-series, built for controlled demolition of rock and reinforced concrete where blasting, vibration, noise and flying debris are off the table. Working from a 1.771.89 in. drilled hole at pressures up to roughly 500 bar, its wedge set develops 1,363,000 lb of theoretical splitting force 789,000 lb effective to crack material from the inside out in a predetermined direction.
A split is a three-step cycle: drill the 24 in. minimum-depth hole, insert the 15 in. wedge set, and apply pressure from a hydraulic power pack. An aluminum-and-steel cylinder body keeps weight to 68 lb for one-operator work in tunnels, interiors and pile-head removal.
