The DARDA C9 is a portable hydraulic splitting system that delivers up to ~200tons (1962kN) of effective splitting force in a compact handheld tool. With a required drillhole of approx. 4548mm diameter and a minimum depth of ~410mm (N variant), and weighing just ~22kg, the C9 is ideal for controlled demolition of concrete, pilecaps, rock and stone in tight or sensitive spaces.
Design:The DARDA C9 Rock & Concrete Splitter is a handheld highperformance hydraulic splitting cylinder designed for controlled demolition of rock, concrete and light to moderately reinforced concrete.
- It uses the safewedge principle: a predrilled hole is made, the wedge set (central wedge + counterwedges) is inserted, the hydraulic cylinder forces the wedge apart from the inside, creating a controlled split.
- Splitting force: Up to approx. 1962kN / 200 tons (effective) for the C9 model. The theoretical splitting force is ~2995kN / 305 tons.
- Drillhole requirements: For the N wedge set: diameter ~4548mm, minimum depth ~410mm. For the L set: diameter ~4850mm, depth ~580mm.
- Weight: ~2223kg depending on variant (e.g., 22kg for N; 23kg for L).
- The tool is designed for lowvibration, lowdust, nearsilent splitting in confined or sensitive environments (indoor, underground, underwater).
- Materials & construction: Robust machinegrade aluminum and steel components, hardened or carbidelayered counterwedges for wear resistance, multilayer hydraulic hoses with burst protection, control valve in handle to set splitting direction and course.
Applications:The C9 Splitter kit is well-suited for a broad range of demanding demolition and splitting tasks, especially where precision, minimal disturbance and confined access are required.
