The HCS8 unit is a handheld hydraulic combishears body manufactured by Darda. It is designed as a universal demolition tool platform: a single tool body accepts interchangeable insert modules (shears, brick jaws, concrete jaws, sickle blades) so that one machine can cover a number of tasks. The version excluding insert means you are acquiring just the main tool body (hydraulic motor, housing, control valve, hinge arms etc.) but not the actual jaws/blades that do the cutting, shearing or spreading. It connects to a hydraulic power unit (via highpressure / lowpressure hoses) and provides the mechanical motion for the specified insert. The maximum system pressure is 50MPa (500bar) for the HCS8 series.
Design:
- Hydraulic drive system: The body houses the hydraulic motor/actuator and integrated control valve. The control valve is built into the body, allowing the operator to open/close the jaws or blade with precision.
- Modular insert interface: The body is engineered to accept different insert sets (C, B, J, S versions) via quickchange mechanism so that the same body can be used for cutting, shearing, breaking or spreading tasks.
- Compact and ergonomic design: Although powerful, the unit is designed to be handled by one operatorcompact length (~660795mm depending on insert) and weights in the ~1517kg range.
- Low vibration / low noise operation: Because the tool is hydraulic and uses a scissor/shear geometry rather than percussive action, it produces minimal vibration and dustsuited for interior work or sensitive environments.
- Robust construction: The housing is made of quality aluminum and steel components to cope with demanding demolition environments while keeping weight manageable.
- Single tool platform: By having one base unit compatible with multiple inserts, it reduces the need to carry multiple separate machines.
Applications:The HCS8 tool body (when fitted with the appropriate insert) finds use in a variety of demolition, renovation and material separation tasks. Even though the insert is excluded in your case, the body is the key component enabling these tasks when the correct insert is installed.
- Interior demolition / building deconstruction: For gutting buildings, removing fixtures, cutting through structural materials, because of its low vibration/dust profile.
- Material separation and spreading: With the right insert, the tool can spread apart concrete blocks, remove door/window frames, separate panels. The body powers the motion.
- Cutting of diverse materials: Once fitted with a cutting insert, the unit can cut steel reinforcement bars, sheet metal, cables, wood profilesmaking it versatile for mixedmaterial demolition.
- Controlled demolition where vibration/noise must be minimized: Because the body enables a hydraulic shear rather than hammering, it is suitable for interior environments, renovation work, hospital, or occupied building retrofit.
- Complement to hydraulic splitting tools: The HCS8 is designed to work alongside the Darda splitter system, allowing operations after or alongside splitting tasks.
