Atlas Copco Dust Collection — The DCP 10 Silica Dust Collector

Capture crystalline silica at the source: the pneumatic DCP 10 pulls dust off drilling, breaking, and grinding operations before it reaches the operator — the engineering control OSHA’s silica standard asks for, running on the same air as the tool.

The short version

The DCP 10 integrates with rock drills, paving breakers, and underground tools — configured by phone. Water flushing is the other half of silica control: see the BBC 16W wet drill.

DCP 10 Dust Collection System

An air-driven collector that hoods the hole and captures respirable dust at the point of generation — drilling and chipping without the plume, and documentation-friendly compliance with the OSHA silica rule’s engineering-control hierarchy.

Choose it when: dry drilling or breaking happens where water flushing is impractical and silica exposure is regulated — which is everywhere.

Dust Collection Questions

Do I need dust collection if I drill wet?

Water flushing is itself the preferred control — wet drills like the BBC 16W handle it at the steel. Dry collection exists for the holes you cannot flush: overhead work, freezing conditions, finished interiors.

What does OSHA actually require?

The silica standard (29 CFR 1926.1153) requires engineering controls — wet methods or dust collection — before respirators for most tasks. A collector on the tool is the documented control inspectors look for.

What runs the DCP 10?

The same compressor as your tool — it is a pneumatic system, configured to the tool and hole size by phone at 1-888-883-5144.
