SMD LED technology delivers 20 percent more coverage than COB LED at the same draw, and the low-consumption Kohler KDW702 two-cylinder diesel is sized to match rather than oversized. The RedRock canopy sits on an undercarriage trailer frame with a low centre of gravity.

How much area does the CPLT V17 light?
79,222 sq ft at an average of 2 foot-candles, or 45,800 sq ft if you need to hold a 0.5 foot-candle minimum everywhere in the lit area. Which figure matters depends on your specification: average illuminance is the usual commercial measure, while a minimum illuminance requirement is common on highway and utility work.
How long does it run on a tank?
105 hours with all four floodlights on, from the 26 gallon tank at 0.24 gal/h. That is more than four full nights of unattended running, or roughly two weeks of typical 8-hour night shifts between fills. Oil service falls due every 250 hours.
Why SMD LED instead of COB?
Surface mount device LEDs spread the emitting area across many small packages rather than concentrating it in one chip, which gives a wider and more even distribution from the same electrical draw. Chicago Pneumatic rates the difference at about 20 percent more coverage than an equivalent COB LED tower. In practice it means fewer dark corners and less glare.
How high does the mast go, and does it rotate?
24 ft, raised manually, with 340 degrees of rotation so you can aim the array without moving the trailer. The tower is rated stable to 68 mph wind, though that figure is conditional and worth confirming with us against your site.
What engine is in it, and is it Tier 4 Final?
A Kohler KDW702, a two-cylinder naturally aspirated direct-injection diesel running at 1,800 rpm with 6 kW rated net output, and yes, it is Tier 4 Final. The alternator is a 4 kVA ACA132BL, IP23, class H insulation.
Can I tow it with a standard truck?
Yes. It weighs 1,548 lb dry and 1,755 lb wet, and folds to 75 x 48 x 91 in. for transport, which is well inside a half-ton pickup’s tow rating. Specify the hitch you need — combo, 2 in. ball or 2.5 in. ring — at quote time.
