The Atlas Copco Cobra TT is a gas powered tie tamper that brings railroad tie tamping to track with no compressor or hydraulic source on site a 1.5 HP gas engine drives 1,620 blows per minute with 30 ft-lb of impact energy. A patented leaf-spring vibro-dampening system keeps vibration low for longer, safer shifts, and three chuck options 1 x 4-1/4, 1-1/8 x 6 and 1-1/4 x 6 in. fit narrow spots like switch yards.
Tool weight runs 51 to 53 lb depending on chuck, and the high-capacity air filter is easy to reach for fast servicing between shifts. The Cobra TT sits alongside the Cobra Combi gas breaker and rock drill in the Atlas Copco gas-powered tool lineup we stock, and matching-shank accessories such as dirt tamps extend it to backfill compaction beyond the rail bed.
