The Vanair Viper D80 is an 80 CFM at 100 PSI direct-drive rotary-screw air compressor powered by a 25 hp Kubota D902 three-cylinder diesel the highest-flow model in Vanair’s diesel Viper range. The 735 lb deck-mount package (48 x 21 x 33 in.) rides AboveDeck or on a skid on Class 4-7 service trucks, giving diesel fleets continuous-duty air without a tow-behind.

Eighty CFM supports up to three 50-CFM-class tools at once chipping hammers and rivet busters on bridge decks, rock drills on pipeline work, 90 lb breakers for the DOT. A no-fuel-tank variant plumbs into the host vehicle’s fuel system, and gas fleets get the same output from the Viper G80. Our diesel air compressor category covers the towable alternatives.

Viper D80 FAQ

How many air tools can the D80 run at once?
80 CFM at 100 PSI supports up to three 50-CFM-class tools simultaneously, or two 40-CFM tools running continuously with surge headroom.

Viper D80 or G80?
Both deliver 80 CFM at 100 PSI; the D80s 25 hp Kubota D902 keeps diesel fleets on one fuel, while the G80 gives gas fleets the same output see the gas-driven Vanair compressors for that side of the line.

What warranty does the airend carry?
Vanairs encapsulated rotary-screw airend is warranted for life with prescribed maintenance.

Does it need its own fuel tank?
The standard deck-mount carries a 9 gal tank; a no-fuel-tank variant plumbs into the host vehicles fuel system instead, and a cold-weather package variant is also available.
