The Vanair Viper G70 is a 70 CFM at 125 PSI belt-driven rotary-screw air compressor sized for the deck of a utility or mechanic truck. Powered by a 25 hp Honda iGX800 EFI gas engine, the 440 lb package splits the difference in Vanair’s gas Viper lineup more pressure than the Viper G80, more flow than the high-pressure Viper G60 for crews that need both.

That balance suits mixed tool trailers: 90 lb breakers, piercing tools and pneumatic post drivers all draw from the same 1/2 in. NPT outlet, while onboard sensors unload the airend at startup and shut down on faults. A high-altitude configuration is offered for mountain fleets. Browse the full Viper family on our Vanair gas compressors page, or lean on the air compressor buyer’s guide to match CFM to your tools.

  • 70 CFM at 125 PSI continuous output from Vanair’s encapsulated rotary-screw airend, warranted for life with prescribed maintenance
  • 25 hp Honda iGX800 EFI gas engine with electronic fuel injection for cold-weather starting and uniform RPM under load
  • 440 lb deck-mount package, 39 x 21 x 30 in., for AboveDeck or skid mounting on Class 4-7 service trucks and mechanic bodies
  • 10 gal fuel tank; 1/2 in. NPT air outlet; auto-unload on startup with high-temp, over-pressure and low-oil shutdown
  • Configurations: base, cold-weather package, remote start, wheel cart and high-altitude
  • Applications: 90 lb breakers, piercing tools, post drivers, bridge maintenance, irrigation blow-out and sand blasting
  • Stocked by Crowder Supply in Denver with Vanair service parts, hose whips, line oilers and contractor air hose

Vanair Viper G70 FAQ

What tools will 70 CFM at 125 PSI run?
The G70 feeds utility-fleet workhorses 90 lb breakers, 4 in. piercing tools, pneumatic post drivers, pipeline rock drills, irrigation blow-out and sand blasting from its 1/2 in. NPT outlet, continuous duty on the truck deck like the rest of our gas-driven air compressors.

Viper G60, G70 or G80 which one?
The G60 is the high-pressure unit at 150 PSI, the G80 the higher-flow unit at 100 PSI, and the G70 splits the difference at 70 CFM and 125 PSI the balanced pick when your tool mix needs both flow and pressure.

Does the airend carry a warranty?
Yes Vanairs encapsulated rotary-screw airend is sealed against contamination and warranted for life with prescribed maintenance.

Is there a version for high elevations or cold weather?
Both: a high-altitude configuration is offered for mountain fleets, and a cold-weather package adds a battery blanket plus fuel and oil heaters, with remote-start and wheel-cart options as well.
