Which Motor for Your Site?
Every TEHMA tool runs from the same two-stage 10,150 psi (700 bar) packs: a high-flow first stage races the wedge or jaw to the work, then the high-pressure stage delivers the splitting force. Pick the motor that matches your jobsite power.
Electric
Ordinary 110–120V @ 25A — indoors, at night, underground. Cooling System 2.0 versions cut oil overheating by about 60% on long shifts and in hot climates.

Plant air or a 127 CFM @ 100 psi compressor — mines, refineries, and spark-sensitive sites.

The PP600-H runs off a carrier’s auxiliary hydraulic circuit — no motor of its own to maintain.

PP600 Power Pack
The standard pack for the whole TEHMA line, and the lightest — 83.8 lb in pneumatic trim. Four motors: hydraulic, electric, electric with cooling, and pneumatic.
Choose it when: you run one tool at a normal pace and want the lightest, least expensive pack — or you need the pneumatic or carrier-hydraulic motor only the PP600 offers.

The production pack: 2.4 GPM of first-stage flow — 70% more than the PP600 — so every cycle starts sooner and crews finish more splits per shift. Gas (Honda GX160) or electric with Cooling System 2.0.

What does a TEHMA power pack do?
It is the hydraulic power unit that drives every TEHMA tool. A two-stage pump sends high-flow, low-pressure oil to advance the wedge or jaw quickly, then automatically shifts to the high-pressure stage — up to 10,150 psi (700 bar) — to deliver the splitting or crushing force. One pack runs the SP-series splitters, the CC300 crusher, and the MS250/GS170 shears, one tool at a time.
What is the difference between the PP600 and the PP700?
First-stage flow. The PP600 moves 1.4 GPM; the PP700 High Flow moves 2.4 GPM — 70% more — so the wedge or jaw reaches the work noticeably sooner on every cycle. Both develop the same 10,150 psi. Occasional use favors the lighter, less expensive PP600; production splitting and the SP600 favor the PP700.
What power does the electric version need?
Ordinary single-phase 110–120V at 25 amps — household or jobsite panel power, no three-phase service required. That is what makes electric packs the choice for indoor, night, underground, and occupied-building demolition. The Cooling System 2.0 models cut oil overheating by about 60% for long shifts and hot climates.
How much air does the pneumatic PP600 A need?
127 CFM at 100 psi — plant air in a mine or refinery, or a towable compressor. The pneumatic motor has no spark or exhaust, which is why gassy underground and spark-sensitive industrial sites spec it.
Can one pack run more than one tool?
One tool at a time out of the box. Add the multiplier module — a 2- or 3-channel manifold from $1,210 — and one pack feeds two or three tools for crew work.
Should I buy the pack alone or in a kit?
If you are buying your first splitter, the kit is the better order: splitter, pack, and hoses arrive matched and ready to run from $22,595. Buy the pack alone when you are adding capacity to an existing TEHMA fleet, replacing a motor style, or running the CC300 crusher or shears you already own.
