The Epiroc HB 3100 is a 6,800 lb (3,100 kg) Premium range hydraulic breaker for excavators and other carriers in the 70,500–115,000 lb (32–52 t) class. It drives a 6.5 in. (165 mm) working tool at 280–560 bpm on 55.5–71.3 gpm (210–270 l/min) of oil flow at 2,320–2,610 psi (160–180 bar) and up to 108.6 HP (81 kW) of hydraulic input.

The HB is the Epiroc Premium range heavy breaker, built for efficiency and performance with high durability. VibroSilenced Plus isolates the percussion mechanism from the breaker box to cut noise and vibration. The Intelligent Protection System (IPS) on IPS configurations starts the breaker in AutoStart mode, switches to AutoStop as contact pressure on the tool rises and shuts the breaker off when the tool breaks through, which prevents blank firing; AutoControl shifts the piston between short and long strokes to suit the material. DUST configurations carry the DustProtector II sealing system, which keeps dust out of the tool guiding area in dry, dusty work. HATCON connectivity (operating hours, location and service intervals through My Epiroc) can be retrofitted with the HATCON kit.
