Miscellaneous
Everything on this page keeps a hydraulic breaker running between working tools: lubrication, nitrogen charging, hoses and mounting hardware. Chisel paste goes between the tool shank and the wear bushing to stop cold welding and seizure, the failure that ruins a bushing and a moil at the same time. Run it by hand from a cartridge gun or continuously through an EC Contilube kit. The rest is service gear — a charging box for the accumulator, breaker hoses with steel spring protection, a Bobcat quick-connect mount and an Epiroc transport safety device. For the hammers see carrier mounted breakers, and for the steel that goes in them, working tools.

Chisel Paste Is Not Chassis Grease
Breaker paste is a high-solids product — an aluminum complex soap carrying copper and graphite — built to keep lubricating at bushing temperatures where ordinary grease thins and burns off. It has to stay put under vibration, shed water and prevent galling between tool and bushing. Epiroc paste is specified for all hydraulic breakers, including other makers’ hammers, and the Bio Lube version is a biodegradable synthetic ester certified to EU Ecolabel DE/027/243 and approved for underwater work.

Charging, Hoses and Mounting
The charging box sets accumulator nitrogen pressure through a regulator, gauge and an adapter kit matched to different breaker valves; it does not include the nitrogen cylinder. Hoses come standard or heavy duty in 39, 59, 69, 83 and 94 in. lengths for SB and EC series breakers. A Bobcat quick-connect bracket hangs a hammer off a skid steer, and the transport safety device secures it for EC90/EC100 and RX18 through RX54 machines.
Common Questions
What grease goes in a hydraulic breaker? Chisel paste, applied between the tool shank and the bushing — not chassis grease, which thins out and burns off under impact. Grease at the interval in your breaker manual, or let an automatic system meter it. It protects the moils and chisels as much as the hammer.
What is ContiLube? An automatic lubrication system for the breaker. A pump driven off the hammer feeds paste from a cartridge through a high-pressure line to the tool bushing, so the bushing keeps getting lubricant without the operator stopping to shoot it.
Will Epiroc chisel paste work in another brand of breaker? Yes. It is used in all hydraulic breakers, including hammers from other manufacturers, by hand or through a ContiLube II system. Match the cartridge type to your gun or lube unit.
