Needle Scaler and Long-Reach Scaling Consumables
Needles and chisels are what wear on a scaler, and sets are keyed to the tool, so order by model. Swapping the bundle for a single chisel or scraper blade puts the same energy on weld slag, tile or coating; an extended shaft keeps the operator off a ladder.

Chipping Hammer and Rivet Buster Wear Parts
Retainers, springs and bumpers give out long before the tool does. Rivet buster bumpers come in 86 durometer orange urethane, 91 durometer red stiff urethane and standard black rubber, trading cushion for service life. CP9 points and 10 in. chisels use the round shank with oval collar, and a CP9 to SDS Plus adapter opens the hammer up to SDS Plus chisels.
Backfill Tamper Butts
The butt is the replaceable foot on a pneumatic tamper, and it is fitment-specific. This group runs from a 2-3/8 in. aluminum-and-rubber Texas Pneumatic butt and a 2.5 in. aluminum round for the Atlas Copco TAM 19 to a 6 in. malleable iron APT butt, plus Chicago Pneumatic and Tamco iron.
Atlas Copco Cobra, Core Drill and Saw Attachments
Machine-side attachments sit here too: a 16 in. asphalt diamond blade and a 14 in. abrasive steel blade on a 1 in. arbor for cut-off saws, an LSC walk-behind saw cart, a 2.4 in. diamond core bit, the wood-drilling chuck kit for LCD 500 and LCD 1500 core drills, a 34 in. posthole auger with 90 mm bit, and the Cobra machine box and harness. The machines are under core drills, augers and saws.
Dust Collection and Silica Control
The Tamco TAM3P pail filters through a water bath instead of bags, pulling 25–30 CFM through a 1-1/4 in. x 10 ft anti-static hose on a 3/8 in. airline at 90 psi. Texas Pneumatic’s multi-unit attachment turns a TX-DCS-3 into a five-operator system for OSHA silica containment.
Common Questions
What size are needle scaler needles? Roughly 2 to 4 mm in diameter, with length set by the tool. Sets are sold by count and fitment — 12 for the APT M121, 19 for the M307 — so match the set to the scaler you run.
Is there an SDS needle scaler attachment? Not for a rotary drill. What is here is a CP9-to-SDS-Plus adapter that lets SDS Plus chisels run in a CP9 pneumatic chipping hammer — the same idea, driven by air.
What is a long reach air scraper? A pneumatic scaler on an extended shaft, fitted with a flat chisel or a 4 in. scraper blade so one operator can strip coating overhead or inside a vessel without scaffolding.
