The BTE Mid-Western S83 Jackleg Drill mounts the S83 percussion motor 3 in. bore, 2-1/2 in. stroke, 2,302 BPM at 69.2 ft-lb per blow on an air-powered feed leg for horizontal and angled face drilling in underground mines, tunnels and quarry walls. Built in the USA to the original Gardner Denver S83 design, it leads the BTE Mid-Western jackleg line with a live parts pipeline behind it.
Configure the drill to the heading: FL7 power-retractable or TUL2B telescopic leg, lengths from 24 to 72 in. (or drill-only), and a 7/8 x 4-1/4 or 1 x 4-1/4 in. chuck in dry or wet flush. Run it through an oiler fed with rock drill oil on every shift. For downward holes the same motor powers the S83 Sinker, and every leg-mounted drill we carry lives under jackleg drills.
