The BTE Mid-Western S83 Sinker Drill is an 80 lb class handheld pneumatic rock drill for downward-hole work: anchor bolts, foundation pins and small-diameter blast holes from 5/8 to 3 in. and up, depending on steel and bit. Its 3 in. bore, 2-1/2 in. stroke motor built in the USA to the original Gardner Denver S83 design delivers 2,300 BPM, heading the sinker drills we stock.

Pick a 7/8 x 4-1/4 or 1 x 4-1/4 in. chuck and dry or wet operation wet runs water flush through the steel for dust suppression and cleaner production holes. The drill alone runs on a 185 CFM compressor at 90 PSI; converted to a jackleg, plan on 250 CFM to run the drill and feed leg together.
