The BTE Mid-Western S83 Demon is the S83 production rock drill mounted on an integrated pneumatic feed stand, taking the operator’s back out of production drilling. Stroke, rotation and percussion all run from one compressed-air circuit no hydraulic pack, no electric feed for 2,300 BPM blast-hole and anchor-bolt drilling on quarry benches, aggregate operations and foundation sites. It is the production machine of our Demon drill category.
Chuck options of 7/8 x 4-1/4 or 1 x 4-1/4 in. cover the same 5/8 to 3 in.+ hole range as the rest of the S83 platform. Everything the Demon does draws from the air line 250 CFM at 90 PSI, a 375 CFM compressor in single-tool service so keep the in-line oiler charged with rock drill oil. Where handheld drilling makes more sense, the S83 Sinker Drill shares steel, bits and parts; the BTE S83 brand page covers the whole platform.
