The Epiroc HM 1500 is a hydraulic scrap magnet for 26,500–66,100 lb (12–30 t) excavators. It picks up scrap metal on demolition sites, scrap yards and recycling facilities and keeps the ground clear for crews and equipment.
Service weight 3,415 lb (1,550 kg) with an average-sized adapter plate; product weight 3,000 lb (1,360 kg). Tearing force 12.7 US tons (11.5 t); maximum load 6.4 US tons (5.8 t). Magnet plate diameter 41.7 in. (1,060 mm); height 40.4 (1,025 mm) (F version) or 48.4 retracted / 62.2 extended (1,230 / 1,580 mm) (M version). Built-in 13 kW generator with 6 kW magnet power, driven by 23.8–66 gpm (90–250 l/min) at up to 5,075 psi (350 bar); magnet plate activation 5.3 gpm (20 l/min) at up to 725 psi (50 bar). A drain line is required.
The built-in generator’s control technology magnetizes quickly with impulse excitation and releases the load by automatic demagnetization with counter voltage and sequence pulsation. Magnetization is operated hydraulically or electrically by radio remote control, and an integrated LED status display shows the operating conditions. Choose the F version with a fixed magnet plate for demolition and construction sites, or the M version with a movable plate on a chain connector for mass loading at scrap yards; both are the same price.
