The Minuteman XL8 is a gas powered post driver whose on-board rotating extension handle drives fence posts up to 8 ft (2.4 m) tall with the operators feet planted on the ground no ladder to haul from post to post. The driver runs with the handle in either the up or down position, and its 3.25 in. (82 mm) ID chuck accommodates posts up to 3 in. (76 mm) in diameter.
Three patented adapters at 1.75, 2 and 2.5 in. (44, 51 and 63 mm) align smaller posts in the chuck for driving efficiency and quick removal, and 2.7 oz of oil comes in the box. For shorter fence lines and posts under 2 in., the standard Minuteman post driver is the lighter pick.
