The Vanair Reliant RC40-L is an abovedeck hydraulically driven reciprocating air compressor with an aluminum air end and canopy – 40 percent lighter than the steel RC40 at just 245 lb, without giving up the 30-40 CFM at up to 175 PSIG output. Direct drive couples the hydraulic motor straight to the two-stage aluminum air end (no belts), with reed valves, integrated interstage and aftercoolers, and a discharge check valve. Runs on open- or closed-center hydraulic systems, needs just 8.25-10 GPM, and its hydraulic cooling assist can cool the truck’s other hydraulic systems too. Rated from -20 F to +125 F ambient, with an optional cold weather package with hydraulic thermal valve.
