It delivers 1,080 BPM at 45 CFM and 90 PSI, in D-handle (31 lb, inside trigger) or open-grip (30 lb, outside trigger) configurations, both 23 in. overall on a .890 x 1.125 in. tapered shank.

CP’s CPS Control Power System combines a teasing throttle, a Boyer valve that effectively extends cylinder stroke for more hitting power, and a durometer-rubber buffer ring with a wear-indicating groove on the lower sleeve. Originally built to shear structural rivets, rivet busters now earn their keep on full-thickness bridge-deck demolition over rebar, tank cutting and drift-pin driving medium demolition where the long stroke reaches through the section in one blow.

Is a rivet buster better than a paving breaker?
They’re different tools: a rivet buster is lighter and works horizontally and overhead, while the heavier tools in our paving breaker range work downward on slabs and pavement. For deck and wall demolition at 30 lb, the rivet buster wins.

D-handle or open grip which CP 4608?
