The Texas Pneumatic TX1338 family – TX-133-8RB (inside trigger) and TX-133-8RB-OT (outside trigger) – is built by Texas Pneumatic Tools in the U.S. as the workhorse middle-stroke entry in the TX133 rivet-buster matrix. The 8 in. piston stroke is the most-commonly specified rivet-buster stroke length, sized to reach through standard bridge-deck and tank-wall sections in a single blow.
- Closed-grip inside-trigger design for general demolition; outside-trigger (-OT) variant moves the trigger to a finger-sleeve for under-bridge and tight-overhead work.
- Delivers 960 BPM at 44 CFM consumption at 90 PSI through a Jumbo 11X (.866 in.) shank.
- Both variants weigh 31 lb at 22-3/4 in. overall, with a 1-3/16 in. piston bore and 8 in. stroke.
- Construction features positive piston retention, steel throttle valve, heat-treated polished-steel barrel, built-in barrel bridge, and adjustable exhaust deflector.
- Air draw fits a 100-CFM compressor for two-tool operation or a 185-CFM compressor for four-tool operation; min 1/2 in. ID hose.
- Built for rivet cutting up to 15/16 in. diameter, full-section bridge-deck and abutment work, tank tear-out, railroad-car repair, and concrete mixing-tank cleaning.
- Crowder Supply stocks Jumbo 11X cup chisels (7/8 to 1-1/8 in.); flat, narrow, ripper chisels; moil points; sheeting drivers; backout punches 9-24 in.
- Replacement cylinders, retainers, valves, and throttle assemblies stocked for both inside- and outside-trigger TX1338 configurations.
