The 1-1/2 in. chipping hammer chisel is built for light to medium chipping and surface preparation: broad enough to clear material at a good pace, small enough to steer precisely. It removes concrete, weld slag, rust, tile and mortar, and comes in .580 hex or .680 round shanks with oval or round collars, in 9, 12 and 18 in. lengths of heat-treated steel.
It slots between the narrow chisel used for joints and cracks and the 2 in. chisel suited to heavier removal all steel for the same pneumatic chipping hammers. See the full chipping hammer chisel lineup for points, spades and drivers that run on the same matching shanks and retainers.
