The short version
The TX-WD is driven by water rather than by air or electricity: a stainless water motor with a brass impeller turns the fan, so the only service on deck is a hose. That suits ship repair and conversion work, where water is already run to the space and an electric blower would need certification. Two sizes, 12 in and 16 in, with an optional exhaust blade for extraction rather than supply, and an air-motor version available for compressed-air operation. Air flow rates are independently tested to AMCA Standard 210. All-brands: marine blowers. Other confined-space options: venturi air movers, jet fans and tornado blowers (the 12 in explosion-proof Tornado is ABS certified).

Why a water-driven blower?
On a vessel under repair, water is usually already run to the space and it introduces no ignition source and no certification burden. A stainless water motor and brass impeller shrug off salt water in a way that a standard electric motor does not. Where compressed air is more convenient, the same blower is available with an air motor instead.
Can it be used as an exhauster?
Yes, with the optional exhaust blade. Supplying fresh air dilutes the atmosphere in the space; extracting draws contaminated air out. Which is correct depends on your entry procedure and what is in the hold.
What are the two sizes?
TX-WD12 with a 12 in fan at $2,950, and TX-WD16 with a 16 in fan at $3,565. Air flow rates for both are independently tested to AMCA Standard 210 rather than calculated.
Is it ABS certified?
The TX-WD water-driven blowers are not the ABS-certified item in the Texas Pneumatic range — that is the Tornado 12 EXP, which is approved and certified by the American Bureau of Shipping. If your specification calls for ABS approval, order the Tornado 12 EXP. If it calls for a non-electric drive, the TX-WD is the tool.
What else works for marine confined-space ventilation?
