The short version
A venturi air mover has no moving parts at all. Compressed air enters a ring inside the horn, and as it accelerates it drags a far larger volume of ambient air along with it — a 3 in TX-3AM turns 21 CFM of supply into about 1,017 CFM of output. That makes it safe where a motor is not, and maintenance-free where a fan is not. Four sizes: 3 in, 6 in, 8 in and 10 in, in galvanized steel, electrically conductive polymer, stainless-horn or all-stainless construction. Texas Pneumatic TX-3AM 3 in Air Mover
The one that fits through a manway. 4.7 to 9.6 lb depending on horn, in a full 32 in body or a short 16.5 in body for tight spaces. Galvanized, conductive polymer or stainless horn on an aluminum base.

Texas Pneumatic TX-6AM 6 in Air Mover
The widest choice of construction in the range, including the TX-6AM-SS — horn and base both stainless, the only all-stainless air mover on the market. Nickel-plated and stainless-base polymer versions cover corrosive service without the full stainless price.

Texas Pneumatic TX-10AM 10 in Air Mover
The largest venturi mover TPT builds. At 252 CFM of supply the stainless-horn version puts out 7,304 CFM, which is blower territory without a blower’s motor. 31.1 to 42.5 lb, 48 in long, 15.75 in horn.

Venturi air mover questions, answered
How does a venturi air mover work?
Compressed air is fed into a ring around the throat of the horn and released through a narrow annular gap at high velocity. That fast-moving jet drags the surrounding air along with it — the venturi effect — so the total volume leaving the horn is many times the volume you fed in. On the Texas Pneumatic range the multiplication runs roughly 20 to 48 times depending on model and horn. There are no bearings, blades, motor or cord, so there is effectively nothing to maintain and nothing to ignite.
How much compressed air does an air mover use?
From 21 CFM on the small galvanized 3 in unit up to 252 CFM on the 10 in stainless-horn model, measured at 90 psi. That is real compressor demand, so size the supply first: a 10 in mover on a small utility compressor will not perform. Which horn material should I choose?
Galvanized sheet metal is the default and the cheapest. Electrically conductive polymer is lighter and will not spark, and it is the usual pick where static is a concern. A stainless horn on an aluminum base resists corrosion at moderate cost. The TX-6AM-SS is horn and base both stainless — the only all-stainless air mover on the market — for wash-down, marine and chemical service.
Are they safe in a classified or confined space?
That is the main reason people buy them. No motor, no electrical connection and no moving parts means no ignition source in the space. The units are field ready with a ground wire and crow foot connector so the body can be bonded. Always follow your own confined-space entry procedure and site classification — we can supply documentation on request.
Air mover or tornado blower or jet fan?
Air mover: compressed air only, no moving parts, best where electricity is not allowed and you have air available. Tornado blower: electric motor, explosion-proof options, 2,090 to 6,950 CFM, best where you have power and want volume without burning compressor capacity. Jet fan: compressed-air driven vaneaxial with a bladed rotor, best for directional throw and API tank flange mounting.
Can I duct the output to where I need it?
Yes. SAC-N-GO ducting comes in 8, 12, 16 and 20 in with a storage bag that stays attached and no extra parts needed to link units together. Match 8 in duct to the TX-3AM range, 12 in to the TX-6AM, and 16 in to the TX-8AM and TX-10AM. Conductive (black) duct is available where static is a concern. See air ducting.
Is there a stand?
