Atlas Copco Hydraulic Power Packs — Portable Power for Breakers, Drivers & Pumps
The LP series is the engine room of the hydraulic tool system: Honda-powered portable packs from 9 to 18 hp that two people can lift, feeding 5.3–10.6 GPM (20–40 lpm) to LH breakers, LPD post drivers, the LPP puller, and hydraulic pumps — with Power On Demand auto-idle and thermostatic oil cooling built in.
The short version
Running one hydraulic tool? The LP 13-30 P covers every EHTMA class C and D tool we sell. Two tools, or one heavy D/E tool? The LP 18 Twin runs a pair of breakers or one 10.6-GPM machine. Tight budget and one class-C tool? Call about the LP 9-20 P. Every LH breaker, LPD driver, and LPP puller on our site runs off these packs — or off your machine’s auxiliary hydraulics if flow and pressure match. LP 13-30 P Hydraulic Power Pack
The workhorse: a 13 hp Honda feeding 20 or 7.9 GPM (30 lpm) at up to 2,175 psi (150 bar), with Power On Demand idling the engine the moment you release the tool trigger — fuel savings and quiet between breaks. Foldable handles and big wheels move its 201 lb around site; two people lift it in a van.
Choose it when: you run one hydraulic breaker, post driver, or pump — this pack covers every C and D class tool on our site.
Key specs

LP 18 Twin Hydraulic Power Pack
Two circuits, one engine: run two 5.3-GPM tools at once — two breakers, or a breaker and a pump — or combine both circuits into one 10.6-GPM feed for the heaviest class-E tools. Electric start, POD auto-idle, and a thermostat-controlled oil cooler for all-day duty.
Choose it when: a two-person crew runs two tools, or your LH 400 E / LPD-HD wants the full 10.6 GPM.
Key specs
Also in the LP family: the 9 hp LP 9-20 P single-circuit pack (EHTMA C) and the electric LP 9-20 E through 18 Twin E for indoor and low-emission work — call 1-888-883-5144 to quote either.
Match the Pack to the Tool
EHTMA class letters on tool and pack must overlap — that is the whole pairing rule.
| Tool | EHTMA class | Runs on LP 9-20 | LP 13-30 P | LP 18 Twin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LH11 pick hammer | C | Yes | Yes | Yes (x2) |
| LH 180 / LH 190 E breakers | C | Yes | Yes | Yes (x2) |
| LH 220 / 230 E / 270 / 280 E | C/D | — | Yes | Yes |
| LH 390 / 400 E heavy breakers | D/E | — | LH 390 only | Yes (10.6 GPM) |
| LPD post drivers | C–E by model | LPD-LD | LPD-LD / LPD | All incl. LPD-HD |

Hydraulic Power Pack Questions
What is a hydraulic power pack?
A portable engine-driven hydraulic pump that powers hand-held hydraulic tools through twin hoses — here, 9 to 18 hp petrol packs delivering 20 to 40 liters per minute at up to 2,500 psi (172 bar). One pack replaces a compressor for hydraulic breakers, post drivers, pullers, and pumps, at lower weight, lower noise, and with no air line freeze-ups.
Which power pack do I need for my tool?
Match EHTMA class letters: the tool and the pack must share a letter. The LP 9-20 P covers class C, the LP 13-30 P covers C and D, and the LP 18 Twin covers C through E — including 10.6-GPM single-tool mode for the LH 400 E and LPD-HD. Every hydraulic tool page on our site lists its class.
Can I run these tools off a skid steer, mini excavator, or tractor instead?
Often yes — if the carrier’s auxiliary circuit can be set to the tool’s flow (5.3–10.6 GPM (20–40 lpm)) and pressure, and back pressure stays under the tool’s limit. High machine back pressure is the classic killer; the HBP versions of the LH breakers exist for exactly that. Call with your carrier’s specs and we will confirm the pairing.
Do you sell electric hydraulic power packs?
Yes — the LP 9-20 E (5.5 kW) through LP 18 Twin E (11 kW, three-phase) run the same tools indoors with no exhaust. They are quote items: call 1-888-883-5144 and we will price the right one.
Can one pack really run two tools at once?
The LP 18 Twin can: two independent 5.3-GPM circuits, each with its own hoses, so two operators break or one breaks while a pump dewaters. Flip it to single-circuit mode and it feeds 10.6 GPM to one heavy tool.
What is Power On Demand?
POD idles the engine automatically when you release the tool trigger and spools it back up when you squeeze — less fuel, less noise, less wear during the half of the day the tool is not actually firing.
Is this the right power pack for an excavator-mounted breaker?
No — excavator and skid-steer mounted breakers draw far more flow than these hand-tool packs supply. These packs power hand-held tools. For carrier-mounted breaker questions, call and we will point you the right way.
How fast do power packs ship?
In-stock packs ship same day on orders by 4 PM Eastern — flat-rate Freight on the packs, free UPS Ground on hoses and accessories. Service kits and Honda engine parts are stocked; call with your serial number.
