LPD-LD Light Duty Post Driver
The 39-lb rod and light-post specialist: 2,300 BPM off a 5.3-GPM class-C pack drives ground rods, fence pins, and tube to 2-3/8 in. all day with one operator and no ladder work.
Choose it when: electrical grounding, light fence, and tube driving are the diet — and weight matters.

The mid class for sign posts, T-posts, and profiles from 1-5/8 to 4 in.: 1,680 BPM at 7.9 GPM (30 lpm), trigger or remote-valve activation, on class C/D packs or open- and closed-center machine circuits.

The guardrail machine: 2-3/4 to 6 in. capacity at 1,320 BPM on 7.4–10.6 GPM (28–40 lpm). Hand-held highway guardrail, heavy sign structures, and anchor driving without mobilizing a machine-mounted driver.
Choose it when: guardrail posts, big signs, and heavy tube are the job — class D/E pack or 10.6-GPM machine circuit required.

The lightweight $2,500 workhorse: 28 lb of hydraulic pounder running 2,300 BPM on just 5 GPM — fence posts, ground rods, and anchors with one operator and the smallest pack on the truck. Chuck and cap options cover T-posts, slotted U-channel, 2-1/2 and 3 in. ID posts, 2x4s, and 5/8–1 in. ground rods.

What is a hydraulic post driver?
A hand-held hydraulic hammer with a driving cap that pounds posts, rods, and tube straight into the ground — 1,320 to 2,300 blows per minute powered by a portable LP power pack or a machine’s auxiliary hydraulic circuit. One or two operators drive a post in seconds with no auger, no concrete, and no machine mount.
Which driver for T-posts, sign posts, or guardrail?
T-posts and light rod: LPD-LD. Highway sign posts and profiles to 4 in.: LPD. Guardrail and heavy posts to 6 in.: LPD-HD. Guide-tube adapters match each driver to your exact post shape so the blow stays centered.
Can I run these off my skid steer or tractor?
Yes, if the auxiliary circuit matches the driver’s flow (5.3–10.6 GPM (20–40 lpm)) and pressure and the return line stays under the back-pressure limit — the RV remote-valve versions are built for machine plumbing. Otherwise an LP power pack makes the system self-contained.
Do you have a machine-mounted or skid steer post driver instead?

What is the difference between T and RV models?
T models carry a built-in trigger lever on the handle; RV models use a hose-mounted remote on/off valve — the choice for machine-fed circuits or two-person guardrail work where the valve operator stands clear.
