Air Compressor Acccessories

Air compressor parts and accessories that keep a portable machine making clean, dry air in bad conditions: Vanair cold-weather and anti-icing kits, aftercoolers and moisture separators, airline de-icer, compressor oil, reservoir tanks, DC converters, and weld cable sets. Most fit the Vanair Viper gas, PRO, and Reliant machines and the Air N Arc power systems, with Chicago Pneumatic separator kits for CPS units. Winter work starts with the cold-weather option for Gas Viper or the anti-icing kit; wet air ends at the 12V DC aftercooler. For bundled interval maintenance, see service kits. Ships from Denver.

Cold-Weather and Anti-Icing Kits

Cold causes two separate failures: the machine will not start, and the air line freezes. Heater kits fix the first with 12V compressor-oil, engine oil pan, and air-inlet heaters. Anti-icing hardware fixes the second by drying the air before moisture can freeze downstream. These are the industrial air compressor accessories fleet shops reorder every fall, and they are model-specific.

Match the kit to the exact model and supply voltage — the 12V and 120V AC versions are not interchangeable. For a machine already iced up, the Vanair airline de-icer clears buildup in a 1-gallon container with no residue.

Aftercoolers, Separators and Clean Air

Air leaves the airend hot and wet. The Vanair Cool Pak 12V DC aftercooler drops the temperature so moisture condenses, then removes it through a 25-micron filter and moisture separator with a manual drain. Downstream, the CP oil separator kit keeps oil out of the line with coalescing elements and an oil-return system. Dry, oil-free air matters most for sandblasting and finishing. Larger treatment gear sits under moisture separation systems.

Rotary Screw Oil or Reciprocating Oil

They are not the same fluid. Vanguard synthetic rotary screw oil is made for the heat and oxidation a screw airend produces, with a high flash point, low pour point, and good water separation and detergency. Vanguard reciprocating compressor oil is an ISO 68 synthetic near 68 cSt at 40°C, viscosity index around 139, flash point 518°F, for piston machines. Running the wrong grade costs airend life.

Truck-Mount Add-Ons

An underdeck install needs more than the compressor. Vanair air reservoir tanks come as a single or twin 14-gallon underdeck tank with mounting brackets, adding storage so short bursts stop cycling the machine. The 24V to 12V DC-DC converter supplies 80 A so 12V accessories run off a 24V truck system. The Vanair weld cable set adds the electrode holder, work clamp, lugs, and cable an Air-N-Arc needs, since weld leads are not included with the machine. For bigger receivers, see air receiver tanks.

Common Questions

Can I order air compressor parts by part number? Yes. Search the OEM number, or send it with the machine model and serial and we will confirm the fit before shipping. Exploded views and part lists are in parts & diagrams, and whole-interval bundles are on the service kits page.

Which cold weather kit fits my compressor? Go by machine and supply voltage. Air-N-Arc 300G, PRO Series, Viper Gas, and Reliant RS85 each have their own package, and generic 12V and 120V AC options cover the rest. The table above lists what each one heats.

Do I need an aftercooler? If water in the line is ruining blasting, painting, or air tools, yes. An aftercooler condenses moisture out at the machine instead of letting it travel down the hose to the tool, which also cuts winter freeze-ups on deck-mount gas units.

What oil does my compressor take? Screw airends take rotary screw fluid; piston pumps take reciprocating oil. Check the plate on the machine, and if you run both types on one truck, label the pails. Fluids and filters for the towable diesel range ship from the same shelf.

How fast can you ship? Crowder Supply ships from Denver, and in-stock items ordered by 4 PM Eastern go out the same day. Stock moves, so call or email if you need a firm ship date on a specific air compressor acccessories before you order.
