Crushing or Shearing
A crusher closes two profiled jaws on concrete and fractures it, dropping the rubble and leaving the reinforcement standing. A shear closes hardened blades and cuts steel. The CC300 covers the crushing side on sections up to 250 mm; shear blades then cut the exposed bar, pipe, electric and steel cable, and sheet without twisting the blades or throwing splinters.
One Body, Several Tools
Both makers build a modular platform. The Tehma main body plus interchangeable blade sets converts between four configurations — CC300, MS250, GS170, and CS350 — so one machine crushes, shears, and spreads. Darda works the same way, with the HCS8 body taking shear, brick-jaw, concrete-jaw, and sickle-blade inserts. Spare Tehma combi shear blades swap in for the crusher or metal shear blades.
Where a Crusher Beats a Breaker
Percussion is loud, dusty, and shakes the structure you are standing on. Crushers and shears do none of that, which is why they go into hospitals, data centers, and working production areas, into condos, offices, and schools where noise rules the day, and into historic or high-value buildings that have to stay intact. They are the practical alternative when access, dust, or vibration rules out a jackhammer.
Power, Pressure, and Hoses
These tools have no engine of their own. The Darda HCS8 body works to a maximum system pressure of 50 MPa (500 bar) and connects to a power unit through high- and low-pressure hoses. Size the power unit to the tool, and keep spare hoses, quick couplings, wedges, and grease from rock splitter and crusher accessories on the truck.

Will a shear cut rebar? Yes. Tehma rates the MS250/GS170 for steel bar and reinforcing rod, pipes, electric and steel cable, and sheet and scrap. Heavier sections such as rail are a different question — send us the material and thickness before ordering.
