Electric Cordless & Electric Tools

Cordless bolting tools go where an air hose will not — roadside service, wheel ends, field maintenance, and any bay where dragging a line costs more time than the fastener does. Chicago Pneumatic’s battery range centers on torque wrenches: the CP86 series, whose C, CQ and TC versions add angle tightening, Torque Check and a counting sequence that catches a missed bolt, and the CP8609 eBlueTork, built for truck and bus wheel tightening at ±4% precision. For light-vehicle tire changing the CP8854 cordless impact wrench is close to the length and weight of a high-performance 1/2 in. air impact, and the CP8323 tire buffer switches between 0–1,200 RPM drilling and 0–2,500 RPM buffing with a quick-change chuck and an LED. Keep spares on the charger, and see the full line on the CP cordless and battery tools page. In-stock items ordered by 4 PM ET ship the same day from Denver.

Battery Torque Wrench or Cordless Impact?

They are not the same tool. A battery torque wrench turns slowly and stops at a set value — the CP cordless torque line spans 240 to 5,970 ft-lb at 1 to 20 RPM on 3/4, 1 and 1-1/2 in. square drive, weighing 6.39 to 25.1 lb. A cordless impact runs a fastener down or breaks it loose fast on 1/2 in. square drive, and you finish to spec afterward. Most wheel bays carry both. For plant work on shop air, cross to pneumatic impact wrenches.

CPLinQ, Accuracy & Traceability

CPLinQ pairs with the C, CQ and TC versions to control process quality in the field; the CQ and TC versions add traceability, logging the tightening sequence so a skipped fastener shows up before the truck leaves. The eBlueTork holds ±4% and shuts off automatically. If you have to document wheel torque for a fleet file, buy a connected version — standalone models cannot report. Verification gear is under maintenance and calibration.

Batteries, Chargers & Warranty

The platform runs the CP12XP, CP18XP25, CP20XP40, CP20XP60 and CP36XP25 packs on CP18-36CH and CP20CHU chargers. CP warrants cordless tools one year and the battery two. Buy a second pack per tool if the bay runs two shifts, and add cordless accessories and matching impact sockets in the drive size your wrench uses.

Common Questions

Which Chicago Pneumatic battery torque wrench should I get? Size it by the joint. Truck and bus wheels are the eBlueTork’s job; general heavy bolting up the range takes a larger CP86-family drive. Tell us the target torque and the drive size and we will match the model.

What does the CQ in a part number like CP8613CQ mean? It is a version suffix on the CP86 family. Plain models are standalone; C adds CPLinQ and angle tightening; CQ and TC add counting sequence and traceability on top of that.

Do you carry cordless pulse tools? Not in the battery range — it is torque wrenches, impacts and the tire buffer. For pulse and shut-off assembly tightening, look at pneumatic screwdrivers and the nutrunners under other air tools.
