Its chamfered cylinder block keeps the workpiece visible so you can operate close in tight corners, while the tungsten carbide-tipped pistons take the wear of the scabbling action and are easily replaced when they finally dull.

What is a scabbler used for?
Scabbling roughens and cleans a concrete surface construction joints, worn walkways, coating removal so fresh concrete or a finish bonds properly; the CP 0006 also cuts ornamental or contrasting textures on building structures.
Do the scabbling heads wear out?
The pistons are tungsten carbide-tipped for long life against abrasive concrete, and when they finally dull they are easily replaced rather than scrapping the tool.
What is the difference between the CP 0006 and the CP 0066?
The CP 0006 is the standard scabbler, stocked in standard and SVR handle trims; the CP 0066 is the non-sparking version for refineries, fuel terminals and other spark-restricted sites.
