The Epiroc BP 4050 R is a rotating hydraulic bulk pulverizer for 94,800–121,300 lb (43–55 t) excavators, with an angled jaw that separates rebar from concrete in secondary reduction.

Service weight 11,885 lb (5,390 kg) with an average-sized adapter plate; product weight 10,890 lb. Cutting force at the upper blades 342 US tons (310 t); crushing force at the jaw tip 144 US tons (131 t). Jaw opening 47.2 in. (1,200 mm), jaw depth 31.5 in., blade length 9.4 in. Cycle time 3.1 s opening / 3.3 s closing. Oil flow 79.3–105.7 gpm (300–400 l/min) at up to 5,075 psi (350 bar); rotation circuit 9.2–13.2 gpm at up to 2,465 psi.

The angled jaw separates rebar from concrete in secondary reduction. A piston rod guard protects the hydraulic cylinder, an integrated speed valve shortens working cycles, the tooth plate is replaceable, and the cutting blades are replaceable and reversible. 360° endless hydraulic rotation positions the jaws precisely.

Use it for secondary reduction on demolition and recycling sites: the jaws crush concrete debris on the ground and free the rebar, so the concrete and the steel can be recycled separately.
