Rhino Guard/Solar Pro Series Accessories

The Rhino Solar Pro and Guardrail Pro omni-adjustable pile driver mounts to a carrier and drives solar pile and highway guardrail post all day — provided the plate on the mast matches the section you are setting. This group covers that interface: the standard guide plate, a dedicated S3 x 5.7 I-beam guide plate, the UNIRAC 6 in. x 4-1/2 in. adapter for solar racking post, and the 7 x 4 Sinclair guardrail adapter. Handling gear covers the rest: a magnetic pile lift kit stands post up from the ground and a pile puller kit pulls it back out. See the rest of the line at Rhino solar and guardrail drivers.

The Guide Plate Sets the Post Section

On an omni-adjustable mast, the guide plate is the stabilizing base that holds the post square under the hammer. The standard plate covers a range of post sizes for general guardrail work; the S3 x 5.7 plate is machined for that I-beam section specifically. Running the wrong plate lets the section wander and chews the flange.

Setting and Pulling Pile

The lift kit uses a magnet with a single-leg chain rated at a 2,700 lb working load limit pulling at 90 degrees, which lets one operator bring a pile from horizontal to vertical without a second machine. The puller kit runs the other way: a 1-ton vertical lift plate clamp and safety shackle on a steel pull plate at the front of the mast, good for 2,200 lb of vertical pull, and it comes off for transport.

Common Questions

What accessories does a Rhino Guard driver take? Guide plates and post adapters for the section you are driving, plus the lift and puller kits for handling. All of them mount to the Guardrail Pro or Solar Pro attachment — see the mounted post drivers range for the base machines.

Can it drive solar pile as well as guardrail? Yes — that is the point of the omni-adjustable mast. Fit the UNIRAC adapter for 6 in. x 4-1/2 in. racking post and the attachment runs a solar farm; swap back for S3 x 5.7 I-beam on highway work.

How much can the pile lifter handle? The magnet is rated at 1,378 lb of lift with a 550 lb maximum pull-off, and the chain leg carries a 2,700 lb working load limit at 90 degrees. Confirm the pile weight against those figures before rigging.

Where do I find parts for handheld Rhino drivers? Different family — see post driving accessories for the PD, GPD, and HPD series, or the Rhino post drivers buyer’s guide for choosing between them.
