The Epiroc CC 5000 is a hydraulic combi cutter for 99,200–143,300 lb (45–65 t) excavators, with interchangeable U (universal) and S (steel cutting) jaw sets for primary demolition, secondary reduction and steel cutting.

Cutting force at the jaw tip 683 US tons (620 t) on every jaw set. Service weight 10,935–11,685 lb (4,960–5,300 kg) depending on the jaw set; jaw opening up to 51.2 in. Cycle time 3.7 s opening / 3.2 s closing. Oil flow 92.5–118.9 gpm (350–450 l/min) at up to 5,075 psi (350 bar); rotation circuit 13.2 gpm at up to 1,670 psi.

Two hydraulic cylinders deliver virtually constant closing force, and two independently moving jaws eliminate displacement force, lowering stress on the carrier. The CAPS coupling and positioning system lets the crew change jaw sets on site. An integrated speed valve shortens working cycles, piston rod guards protect both cylinders, the crushing teeth of the U and P jaws are replaceable, and the cutting blades are replaceable and reversible. 360° endless hydraulic rotation positions the jaws precisely.

Use it for primary demolition and secondary reduction of concrete structures with the U (universal) jaws, and for cutting steel beams, pipes, tanks and rebar with the S (steel cutting) jaws, so one carrier tool covers the whole job.
