The Epiroc MG 1500 R is a hydraulic multi grapple for 35,300–52,900 lb (16–24 t) excavators, built for loading and sorting material and for demolishing wooden and masonry structures.
Service weight 3,915 lb (1,776 kg) with an average-sized adapter plate; product weight 3,265 lb (1,480 kg). Max. closing force 7.5 US tons (6.8 t). Jaw opening 79.3 in. (2,014 mm), grapple width 40.6 in. (1,030 mm), loading volume 0.95 cu yd (0.73 m³). Oil flow 31.7–44.9 gpm (120–170 l/min) at up to 5,075 psi (350 bar); rotation circuit 7.9–9.2 gpm (30–35 l/min) at up to 2,465 psi (170 bar). 360° endless hydraulic rotation positions the shells precisely, and the rotation can be switched off for non-rotating use.
Epiroc multi grapples load and sort material and take down wooden and masonry structures with a steady grip and virtually constant closing force. An integrated mechanical stop takes load off the cylinders, the solid perforated shells keep the load in view, and the cutting blades are replaceable and reversible. Optional tooth blades (MG 400–2300) suit block and stone handling, and optional bolt-on side plates (MG 400–1500) hold fine-grained material and debris.
