RTEX Pneumatic Breakers
Constant-pressure chamber design: heavy-class breaking from lighter machines on roughly half the air — the 37.5-lb RTEX 15 out-breaks conventional 60-lb machines on 32.6 CFM. Slow, hard blows and low vibration across all three sizes.
TEX 190 / 230 / 280 PE Breakers
The everyday jackhammers, 49.6–69 lb, with the H.A.P.S. handle delivering up to seven times the trigger time of a fixed-handle machine. SofStart makes the first blow count, and the one-piece body keeps rebuilds simple.
TEX 40 / 60 / 90 Heavy Breakers
The 73–95 lb heavy end for mainline pavement, bridge deck, and rock. TEX 40PE carries vibro-reduction into the 90-lb class at 4.2 m/s²; the P60S and P90S keep the classic silenced format at working prices.

What is the difference between TEX and RTEX?
TEX is the conventional pneumatic breaker line in classic weight classes; RTEX uses a constant-pressure chamber that delivers a heavier class of blow from a lighter machine on roughly half the air — the RTEX 15 runs on 32.6 CFM where a conventional 60-lb class wants about 76. Buy TEX for lowest price per class, RTEX for air efficiency and low vibration.
Which weight class do I need?
Rule of thumb: 30–40 lb for sidewalk, tile, and light slab; 50–60 lb for general concrete and asphalt; 70–95 lb for mainline pavement, bridge deck, and rock. The paving breaker buyer’s guide walks the whole decision.
What do PE and S mean in the model names?
PE marks the vibro-reduced H.A.P.S. ergonomic handle — up to seven times the allowable trigger time; S marks silenced models. The site’s TEX 40, 60, and 90 are the factory TEX 40PE, P60S, and P90S.
How much compressor do these breakers need?
32.6–85 CFM at 90 psi by model — every 110-CFM class towable runs any single breaker with headroom, and a 185 runs two. Size with margin for hose length and altitude.
What steel do they take?
Hex shanks by model: 7/8 x 3-1/4 and 1 x 4-1/4 on the light end, 1-1/8 x 6 and 1-1/4 x 6 through the range — with moil points, chisels, asphalt cutters, clay spades, and tamping pads stocked to match.
Pneumatic, hydraulic, or gas breaker?
Pneumatic if compressor air is your site standard — cheapest tools, simplest rebuilds. Hydraulic LH for quiet, low-vibration, indoor and underwater work. Gas Cobra where no supply exists at all.
