What a Power Pack Runs
One unit feeds a whole family of tools. Beyond breakers and drills, the same pack drives pick hammers and spike drivers, concrete crushers and metal shears, and hydraulic post drivers. Flow, Pressure, and Outlets
Two numbers decide whether a pack and a tool get along: flow in gpm and working pressure in psi. The CP PAC P9 is rated at 5 gpm up to 2,200 psi and the PAC P13 at 5 to 8 gpm at the same pressure, which brackets most handheld hydraulic tools; Chicago Pneumatic describes its pack range as covering roughly 5 to 10 gpm at 2,000 to 2,500 psi. Outlet count matters too — a twin-outlet unit runs two tools, a single-outlet unit runs one.
Engine or Electric Drive
Engine-driven packs go anywhere. The Atlas Copco LP units idle the engine when the trigger is off and speed it up when the tool wakes, which saves fuel and noise, and each one carries a protective steel frame, folding handles, a lifting eye, and a return filter with a replacement indicator.
